In a significant move to enhance emergency response capabilities, Rescue 1122 recently held a training session at Central Station Chowk Kumharanwala, marking the official kickoff of the Pakistan Lifesaving Program. This initiative, part of the Chief Minister’s Internship Program, is designed to equip university students with essential first-aid skills and emergency management techniques.
Supervised by District Emergency Officer Dr. Hussain Mian, the training session aims to provide participants with practical, hands-on experience in emergency care. Official sources indicate that students from various academic institutions will engage in comprehensive training that covers the operation of advanced medical equipment, personal safety protocols, and effective emergency response strategies.
Key components of the program include critical skills such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) for cardiac and respiratory emergencies, techniques for controlling blood loss from injuries, and other vital life-saving practices.
Upon successful completion of the training, participants will be assigned to different rescue stations throughout the city, where they will gain invaluable real-world experience in managing emergency situations.
The Chief Minister’s Internship Program aims to empower students with the knowledge and skills necessary to provide immediate first aid, support professional rescuers during crises, and collaborate effectively in large-scale emergency scenarios.
During the session, Dr. Hussain Mian administered an oath to the interns, highlighting the importance of humanitarian service and dedication to community welfare.
Dr. Hussain Mian praised Rescue 1122's dual mission of delivering emergency assistance while fostering a safer society. He stated, “The Pakistan Lifesaving Program training under the CM Internship Program is a crucial step toward building a more prepared and resilient community.”
Acknowledging the enthusiasm and commitment of the participants, Dr. Mian described them as invaluable assets to society. He expressed optimism that their involvement in emergency response would lay a strong foundation for community welfare in the years to come.
This initiative exemplifies Rescue 1122’s dedication to promoting a culture of preparedness and volunteerism across Pakistan, as noted by the participants. By investing in the skills of young individuals, the program aims to create a network of trained responders ready to tackle emergencies and contribute to the safety and well-being of their communities.
