Highlights of the E-Bike Announcement

Eligibility for Free Electric Bikes
The government has announced that the top 120 students from the federal board will be rewarded with free electric bikes. This initiative honors their outstanding performance and dedication.

Special Discounts on Electric Vehicles
In addition to the free electric bikes, the government plans to provide 39,000 electric bikes and 1,900 rickshaws on easy loans. This step aims to make eco-friendly vehicles more affordable, encourage cleaner transportation, and reduce air pollution.

Improving Electric Vehicle Infrastructure
The government is also working on building 40 charging stations along motorways and national highways to support the increasing use of electric vehicles. Federal Minister Rana Tanveer Hussain praised the Capital Development Authority (CDA) for its efforts and directed them to set up nationwide charging stations at all petrol pumps.
